Selrx Shampoo is a combination of 2 medicines: Salicylic Acid, and Zinc pyrithione. Zinc pyrithione is an antifungal medication that treats fungal infections. Zinc pyrithione makes fungal cells absorb copper which in turn inactivates protein mechanisms in cells. This is how it stops fungal growth. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medication. It reduces oil production in the skin, replenishes the skin, and it also keeps your pores open.
